December to February is when Kufri sees snow, and the hills around it stay white longest in the middle of winter. Snow comes when it comes, though: nobody can promise it for a particular weekend.

02Keeping warm

Every room can have a heater on request, at ₹500 a night. In the evening there is a fire on the terrace, and the kitchen cooks warm food all day: parathas in the morning, dal and curries at night, all from its own menu.
